Excellent mechanic workshop, highly recommended! I had an appointment to replace the timing belt, but the day before, I started hearing a strange noise coming from one of the front wheels. I mentioned it to the mechanic when I arrived, as I was about to start a trip to the south that same night and wanted to make sure everything was safe. Even though it wasn’t related to the scheduled work, they checked the wheel and helped me out—at no extra cost. On top of that, the timing belt and water pump replacement went perfectly. Very grateful!
Bruce has consistently gone above and beyond for our family. He is amazing at explaining things simply for myself (and our homeschooled boys) to understand. And he's great at working with us to come up with solutions that help save us money when necessary. Also their loan cars are in great condition and a joy to drive. We could not recommend Bruce and the shop enough, we're so grateful to have you as our local mechanic!!!
Our car was having trouble with the starter motor and could have stopped working at any moment. After reading the reviews, we took it to A1 on Wednesday morning. At first, we were told, "We're fully booked today and can’t take any more jobs." But after seeing how disappointed I was, Bruce said, "I’ll work something out. Come back tomorrow morning," and managed to squeeze us into the schedule. The next morning when I went to pick up the car, I knew that Bruce had come in at 6 a.m. just to fix our vehicle. He worked hard in the cold winter morning just for us! Our whole family was truly moved by his dedication and genuine kindness. There aren't many garages that provide such honest and heartfelt service. We've become big fans of A1. Without a doubt, we highly recommend this place. Thank you, Bruce!
I have been sending my cars to A1 for years now, and have had fantastic service. More recently under new management A1 has continued to deliver the goods and is going from strength to strength. Bruce really gets to know and understand the customer, and then always provides such a great in-depth explanation of what is going on. Always great to catch up with Bruce and I know my cars are in the best of hands.
I’ve been going to this mechanic since 2018, back when my insurance company recommended them to fix a mishap with a window. It was under different management back then, but they were awesome—great communication, everything was sorted quickly, and I left a happy customer. Fast forward to now, with Bruce running the show, and I’m stoked to say the service is still top-notch! They’ve kept up the same high standards—super friendly, easy to talk to, and they actually get that car stuff can be expensive and stressful. Bruce explains things clearly and concisely and I don't feel lost in all the mechanical jargon! They’re honest, upfront, and make the whole process feel less overwhelming. As a woman, I know there’s this annoying stereotype that we don’t know anything about cars and can easily be taken advantage of. Not here. I’ve built a great rapport with Bruce and the team, and I always feel like I’m being treated fairly. Whether it’s a regular service or a WOF, I know my car’s in safe hands, and I’m not going to get hit with any dodgy surprises. Also, shoutout to them for adding Afterpay—absolute game changer!
